Welcome from Joe McBride, Principal

Mr. McBride, Principal

Welcome to St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School, the parish school of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.  In a Christ-centered atmosphere, the mission of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School is to teach, to learn, and to become faith-filled servants of Jesus.  By having Christ as the center of our school and in partnership with parents, we are teaching our students to become the next generation of Christian leaders.

St. Mary's is a kindergarten through 8th grade private Catholic school serving families from Columbia and Richmond Counties in Georgia and Aiken County in South Carolina.  We welcome families of all faiths.  Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools and the Florida Catholic Conference, St. Mary's has a demanding and rigorous curriculum that challenges our students to do their best.

We help our students achieve academic success with teachers who create a supportive and caring environment, a study skills program in grades 4-8 to help students master important skills in the classroom and in life, and a certified reading specialist who successfully works with students who need extra assistance.  We also offer a full range of fine arts classes to inspire the creativity that each of our students possess and to allow them to nurture those gifts.  Lastly, we offer award-winning extracurricular academic and sports programs that encourage our students to compete in a sportsmanlike manner as individuals and as a team.

We hope our website gives you an opportunity to learn more about our vibrant school.  Please contact us for more information or to arrange a tour.  We look forward to hearing from you!

God Bless,
Joe McBride, Principal
