Awards and Recognitions

St. Mary’s is a vibrant school both inside and outside the classroom. The following is a highlight of some of our academic and sports awards and recognitions for the 2015-2016 school year:


-One of our St. Mary’s teams earned both 5th Place Overall and Best Use of Automation in the Future City Competition-South Carolina Region.  Two St. Mary’s teams were awarded Best Energy System and Best Civil Engineering Aspects, respectively.

- Seventeen St. Mary's students qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) 7th grade talent search. In addition, one student received State and Grand Recognition and another student received State Recognition.

- One of our students competed at the state level in the National Geographic Geography Bee.

- One of our students competed at the state level in the MATHCOUNTS competition.

-St. Mary’s earned 1st place (7th Grade) in the national Catholic Math League-Division 2 and 2nd place (individual) in Division 2.

-St. Mary’s Academic Team earned a regional runner-up award in the PAGE Academic Bowl.

-One of our students was awarded 1st place in the Diocesan Vocations Essay Contest.  Two students were awarded Honorable Mention.


St. Mary’s participates in the Augusta-Aiken Middle School League. In the 2015-2016 school year, St. Mary’s brought home the championship in football, girls’ basketball, baseball, and girls’ soccer!
