Stewardship, Tuition, and Fees

St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School is the parish school and the largest ministry of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. St. Mary's is a stewardship parish where all ministries belong to and are the responsibility of the entire parish.  Because of stewardship, families who are active members of St. Mary on the Hill parish may attend the school under the stewardship policy. School families, who are not active members of the parish, pay tuition.  The Church Office, as part of the application process, will help families determine if they will be admitted under the stewardship policy or tuition policy.

An active member family who meets the following criteria may attend the school under the stewardship policy:

  • is a registered member of the parish for at least one calendar year prior to attending school,
  • attends Sunday and Holy Day Masses regularly (which is documented by handing in a Church envelope when in attendance regardless if there is a tithe in the envelope),
  • has a Stewardship commitment card on file at the Church each year pledging their time, talent, and treasure (8% of their family income), and honor those commitments, and
  • uses Church envelopes weekly indicating regular Mass attendance.

Tuition for the 2017-2018 school year:

  • Practicing Catholic: $6,600 per child
  • Non-practicing Catholic or Non-Catholic: $8,200 per child

Please note: a 2% discount will be applied if tuition is paid in full prior to the start of the school year.

St. Mary's partners with the FACTS Management Company to assist in managing tuition payments.  All families paying tuition must have a St. Mary's FACTS account established by July 15, 2017.  You may do this by clicking on the following link and completing the process on the website:

Fees for the 2017-2018 school year:

  • There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $350 for the first child and $300 for each additional child. This fee, due at the time of application, does not guarantee placement. It places your child on a list to be tested if open spaces are available in the appropriate grade. The application fee will only be refunded if your child is not accepted. Refunds will be made from the Church Office.
  • Placement testing is given to every new student.  The fee for testing is $50 for each student.  Grade placement may be at the grade they are entering or below.  The fee is due at the time testing is administered.
