Faith In Action

“Amen I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least brothers of mine you did for me” Mt 25:40

Students at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School are encouraged to put their faith into action by living out the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy – praying for and serving those in need. School-wide opportunities for serving others include, but are not limited to, the following:

•  Daily prayer intentions and prayer services for the sick
•  Monthly canned goods collection for the local food pantry
•  Eighth grade monthly service at the local soup kitchen
•  Operation Christmas Child, providing gifts for children in need in foreign countries
•  Christmas Tree Angels, providing gifts for local children through Catholic Social Services
•  Fund raisers for victims of tragedies such as Hurricane Katrina

“We can do no great things, only small things with great love” Blessed Mother Teresa
