The 2017 Fall Carnival Packet will be coming home soon!  In the meantime, you can visit RenWeb and view it under “Resource Documents.”  Please be sure to read this information carefully to learn about Carnival events, purchasing tickets in advance, volunteer opportunities, and much, much more!

The Wild Wild West Scholastic Book Fair begins this weekend! We will also be hosting a family event Sunday, Sept. 24th 8:45am-12:00pm. Families and friends are welcome to shop the book fair while enjoying coffee, juice, and donuts. Classes will be shopping Monday, September 25-Thursday, September 28th.

OPEN HOUSE INVITATION CARDS AND YARD SIGNS – Invitation cards are available for our November 2nd Open House event! We will also have new Open House yard signs! If you have a student who was eligible for free or reduced lunches last year and you have not filled out a new application for this year, your student will be charged the full amount of $3.50 for lunch beginning on September 27th.  Please note that you may apply at any time during the year if your financial circumstances change.  Applications are available on RenWeb under “resource documents”.  If you have any questions, please contact Chef Roy or Debra Ryan.

We will have our first pep rally of the year on Friday, September 29th at 1:50pm to recognize our fall student athletes and coaches, the SMS Band, and our newly elected Student Council.  Eighth grade athletes will be recognized for their dedication to SMS sports.  We are requesting that all fall athletes wear their jersey or team shirt.  All students may wear spirit uniform which includes any SMS t-shirt with jeans or navy shorts and tennis shoes.  Please email This email address is being protected from spambots.
