Sign-ups for Winter Sports are currently underway. Students may continue to register in Mrs. Ryan’s office next week. Basketball tryouts will be held the week of October 16th.  

Students in 5th – 8th grades will be participating in the spelling bee program in the near future. They will receive more information from their teachers.  Meanwhile, you are invited to create a free “word club” account at www.spellingbee.com. This will give you access to practice lists that will be used in the schoolwide bee, and may be used in classroom bees as well. The schoolwide spelling bee will be held the week immediately after Thanksgiving. 

Congratulations to our First Quarter Christian Service Award winners who were nominated by the teachers in his or her department. 

Our Student Council is collecting new and gently used playground balls for three Catholic schools in the Florida Keys, Marathon area. These three schools suffered great damage after Hurricane Irma. The deadline to submit playground balls to homeroom teachers is Wednesday, October 11th

Aquinas High School Open House is set for Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Join us for campus tours, Q & A sessions, an opportunity to meet faculty and students, and a chance to enter a raffle for a $1,000 tuition subsidy. Please call the school office to pre-register for the Open House and your student will get an Irish Nation t-shirt and have his or her name put into a drawing for a pair of Beats Headphones. SMOTH Church League Basketball information has been added to RenWeb under “Resource Documents.”  The deadline for signing up for U-9 through U-15 Church League Basketball is Sunday, November 12th. The deadline for signing up for U-19 is Tuesday, November 7th. Registration forms are in the narthex.
